So many things to do, yet there is only one of me.

I work during the day, and write my thesis up during the night. Well, usually I don't because I'm too tired to even stay up ~~past 10~~ late. Mother and boyfriend keep ~~nagging~~ asking about the progress of my thesis and suggest to just quit my job. I know, I know, I have to prioritize but hey, I could use the money I earn from work. It pays for clothes, handbags, rent, bills and dates. And most importantly, writing drives me crazy while my job keeps me sane.

I work part-time as a shop assistant, and I earn about RM1700++. Yeah. Not that much, but I like my job.

If you were me, what do you do?

Ah. My bff are calling me names nowadays, Rosmah, etc, the latest is ADUN Serdang. Haha. Funneh. I know, but seriously I am too busy to even answer their call. My bad.

OOOOOOH! Speaking of bff, one of them is getting married tomorrow! Oh my, oh my. Yes, the one we had bachelorette party for. Akad nikah is scheduled tomorrow after Asar, and the kenduri is on Sunday. I truly am happy for her and her soon-to-be husband.

Yed, aku wish ko a marriage full of happiness and I hope this joining will bring you both more joy you can ever imagine! Esok pagi pagi before lalat terbang aku speed balik Bentong and straight to Raub okeh? Coz I am a bee. Hahaha.

Despite accident tak semena-mena last Sabtu, I had a fabulous weekend.

Back at work on Tuesday, it was easy tho it was a one-woman show (nasib la nyah kalau kau tak paham). I had to be back by 4pm, since nak pergi mengadap my supervisor-my-master-supervisor-not supervisor-at-work-supervisor. The meanest thing she said to my face masa meeting tu adalah 'yes, you are not a writer'. Haha! We were discussing about my first ever manuscript for publication, in case you are wondering. And yes, I know, I am a lousy writer. Well. Of course, that, you all semua pun dah tahu. Wawawa.

Conclusion : my supervisor was in a good mood.

Man, I was in a ~~good~~ terrific mood, after the meeting. So positive, I BELIEVE I can finish my thesis and graduated and not mereput in UPM for ever.

Only then, all gone with a phone call! This one kakak in HQ duk sibuk marah kat ai. Amboi ahkak, you ingat you aje yang ada mulut. Ai pun ade kak.

Yang ai nak marah sangat, it was not my fault! Being the one at the bottom line of the food chain, aku lah yang kena marah kan??! Ko tengok nanti ahkak, tengok lah.....! (Emo habis)

I usually didnt get this upset over things like this, tapi this time marah melampau-lampau. Setan lah ni (pulak!).......

Thanks to my boss whom had called asking this and that, I am now up and about and even made this for myself.

Seriously, it is so GOOD!

It's been awhile since I last blogged. Hehe. The reason is, I. Found. Myself. A. Job!

This is my first real job ever. I started last week, so if I survive today at the company, I'll survive my second week! Pheww.

The first week was the toughest, as Amal Syamil warned me. It had been a very very VERY tiring first day. I woke up at 6 the next morning, had shower and sembahyang Subuh, and off to work at 7-ish. On my way back home that evening, I had my eyes brimming with tears.

I got it then, life is hard...

I've cracked on my third day. I came back home, and cried over the phone. I was thinking to quit. Hahahha. I was so tired, I didn't bother to shower that night. I even slept in the same shirt I wore to work. The fourth day, was tiring as well. I once again cracked that night, this time not due to the work, but to the super massive traffic on my way back to Bentong. It usually took me an hour and half at most to reach Bentong from Serdang, last Friday, it took me three bloody hours and a half!

The only positive thing I gathered after a week of working is that, I am going to finish my thesis soon, I must finish it soon!

My second week is so much nicer. I didn't get as tired as the previous week. I made new friends. Somebody said that I am bubbly. Wow (my roommate once told me a friend of hers think am snobbish)! I made effort commented on other people's shirt and tudung, and I had been called 'love' once. Tho it is a very common remark, I cannot help it but be overwhelmed :p

Other than that, a Malay supplier texted me three nights in a row, and asked me out, an Indian lady treated me like my highest qualification is UPSR and a Chinese man ordered me to do this and that like I own eight pairs of hand.

Nevertheless, I feel good, jengjengjeng... Oh. I feel good! Actually, I feel alive! :)

As to who I work for, hm, I better not mention it here. Lets just say I work in retail industry, as suggested by my sister. Haha.

Fidya is getting married y'all!

She texted me, and asked for help. She needs me to help her with:

1- Choosing door gifts,
2- 'Thank you' stickers,
3- Bajus for me and two other makciks,
4- Our schoolmates' addresses.

Truth to be told, I. Am. Honored! and over the moon to be part in the wedding planning.

She texted me this morning, and since I was out the whole day, I just managed to browse not that many sites, looking for the perfect - and within the budget range. You wouldn't believe how ridiculous they charge on simple muffin or bahulu with filling and the boxes. Huh - door gifts.

I delegated the third task to Athira since she is now resides in Kuala Terengganu. And can you believe she said 'Eh, kat sini kan sutera murah-murah'?!! I'm like 'Makcik! Nak buat kerja-kerja kenduri kawen nak pakai sutera ke? Lempang kang!'. But, I love her anyway! :)

The easiest one, the addresses? Oh checked! Just within 30 mins I tell ya. Haha. I am that efficient, eh? But when it comes to my thesis, bluwerghhhh!

So, Fidie, this post goes to you. I am happy to have you as a dear friend, and am glad you found Li. I wish you both a life full of joy and well, cute babies! Haha. Congratulations!!!

I know, I know. Again??!

Remember this, this, this, this, this and two years back?

Heeee. I have never succeeded in losing weight, except for Ramadan this year. I lost 2 kg, but gained those back in about just a week or two of raya. So, its time to lose some weight again people!

This time, I'm not gonna be alone. Amal Syamil and I are going to lose weight together. He came up with a three-months-weight-loss challenge. The deal : Loser will have to treat the winner (whom with higher weight loss percentage) for anything worth RM 200. Haha.

We will have monthly weigh in. As for today (Weight Loss Challenge Day 1), our baseline weight and measurements :

Syura : 77.5 kg.

Amal : 92 kg.

Muahhaha. You are sooo going down brotha!

Oh, I've finished reading the "Life on the Refrigerator Door", I rated the book 5 stars out of 5. Highly recommended to everyone. Me no good at reviewing, for more info read here.

Boy, look at my book selection.

I was looking for something different this year, something other than Jeffrey Archer/ Robert Ludlum/ Micheal Connelly/ John Grisham or Sidney Sheldon, and something different indeed I got. Weee!

Ah, about the sales:

1- I went after 5 pm, so there were less people there.

2- Vast parking area.

3- It was kinda chilly inside, you might want to bring an extra cardi or whatever.

4- Bring along a trolley (some even brought luggage OK? travelling luggage luggage), you will be thankful for it later on.

5- Good customer service.

But, let me warn you something. You might find nasty uncle and aunty, carrying big box with them and as you are browsing thru the collection, they do too, and they will come next to you and put the box on the table, on the books, that will block your view. There are very kiasu.. Jadi, bersabarlah ye anak-anak.

Adakah anda tahu menulis tesis itu payah? Mungkin penggunaan yang betul adalah amat payah sekali? Nampak penggunaan amat dan sekali? Salah dari sudut tatabahasa, tapi itulah hakikatnya.

Whine, whine, whine, whine, whine.

Tak payah kata tesis, nak menghasilkan satu article pun payah. Saya sudah siapkan satu article. Masih berbaki satu, hutang dengan supervisor, juga hutang dengan UPM barangkali.

Sebab menulis article sangat payah?

1- Fakta saintifik yang panjang lagi membelitkan kepala otak. Lagi best baca komik Doraemon atau tonton Running Man.
2- Bahasa Inggeris saya yang tidak berapa bagus, menyebabkan saya mempunyai tendency tinggi untuk plagiat ayat-ayat canggih manggih dalam references.
3- Apabila saya tulis article, saye dapati research saya sangat bangang dan banyak loopholes. Fakta yang cuba saya bangkitkan, namun tiada back up dalam research.
4- Perkara ke-3 membuatkan saya rasa bangang dan nak stop saja.

Kenapa perlu saya tulis article dan juga tesis?

1- Kalau tak tulis article, tak boleh hantar tesis.
2- Kalau tak boleh hantar tesis, macam mana nak grad MSc.
3- Kalau tak grad MSc, macam mana nak cari kerja yang best?
4- Kalau tak dapat kerja yang best, macam mana nak ada duit?
5- Kalau tak ada duit, macam mana nak kawin tahun depan?!

Much needed facial treatment.

So, I went to Cellnique. At first to just look at its packages, promotion etc but ended bought a treatment package for myself. After much assurance that I have combination of dry and sensitive skin, I opt for Intensive Hydrating whatever package.

Frankly, I barely remember what was the name of each product they used on me. The esthetician started off with cleansing milk, followed by cleansing something again. Then, she applied some pineapple mask, followed by exfoliating and steaming. Extraction was next and finished off with cold treatment to close the pores. She then apply some papaya mask and while to wait for the mask to dry up, she massaged my shoulder, scalp and hand. Finally, she applied some mist and serum.

Embarrassing fact: I fell asleep during the treatment, and I think I snored. Dang!

I cant say much about its result on my skin but I will try to snap few pictures of me (yeay. more reasons to cam whoring!) after this treatment and look for any sign of improvement.

Above is the picture taken just now, and I will post another picture after my next appointment in three weeks time (and in between.haha).

Ahh well, I am RM200 poorer today, but I guess its money well spent :)

Raya this year biasa aje. Setahun arwah wan meninggal dunia. Preparation biasa-biasa aje. Baju raya recycle tahun lepas sudah.

Malam tu pulak, Amal and his family came berhari raya. Oh sungguh ireng (hitam, kata orang jawa) boyfriendku. Nampak gigi aje dear, serius.

Terpaksa la ambil gambar kat dapur je, since orang-orang tua kat living hall. Kita yang muda, baik punye bercinta kat dapur kan :p

I was back in Bentong for the last five days, and got hooked to MasterChef Australia Season 2. I enjoyed the show very much, seriously I found it rather amazing for a lawyer etc to be really good in kitchen, to the extend they inspire me to better my cooking skill (ah, and not to mention Junior MasterChef).

Well, some of you might already knew who was the winner. I did not until I googled for 'Masterchef Australia Season 2 torrent'. Dang, I really wish to know the winner by watching the show. Anyhow, I am so happy Adam won, but I should say Callum was good as well during the finale.

Anyway, do you know that Adam was born in Malaysia. His father is actually a Malaysian-born Chinese.

Bersahur seorang. I woke up at 4.30 am, and went straight to kitchen heating up my meal which was lontong and nasi impit (yes, raya awal tahun ni).

I was thinking to do some work after Subuh, unfortunately I fell asleep until... 12. Opps!

Berbuka pun seorang. It made me feel so... adult. Arghh.

Frankly speaking, my first day of fasting was not so bad except for my aching gum. I didn't feel hungry at all up until maybe 5.30 pm.

And I dunno why must I share these craps here, but today, being alone all day long made me feel adult.

Adult = responsibilty = suck.

I just watched 'Hachiko: A Dog's Story' starring Richard Gere. What I can say, it is one good movie. I tremendously enjoyed this movie as much as I enjoyed 'Marley & Me', both the book and the movie.

Well, I think I have one soft spot deep inside me for dogs. I always wonder why it is haram in Islam. And I am sorry to say this, but I once had a thought in mind to have a puppy as my pet.

So, I did some reading about dog and why it is haram in Islam.

It is forbidden to have dogs without need or benefit (as a pet for example), except for the purpose as sheepdogs and hunting dogs. From Malik Al-Muwatta, from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that Rasullullah SAW said 'Whoever acquires a dog other than a sheepdog or hunting dog, will have two qirats deducted from the reward of his good actions every day'.

Then I looked for the definition of qirat and what I found was qirat is manifestation of measurement and Rasullullah SAW equated a qirat to be the measure of gold as huge as a mountain.

Astaghafirullahalazim.

This is however is not a reason to treat a dog badly. From Al-Bukhari, Rasullullah SAW told his companion about a man who found a dog very thirsty in a desert. This man then went to a well and filled up his shoe with water and relieved the dog'd thirst. Rasullullah SAW said 'Allah SWT appreciated this and forgave him all his sins'.

From scientific view, there was a report from a German scientist, Dr. Gerard Finstimer, about dangers caused to human resulting from close contact with dogs:

'The increasing interest shown by many people in recent times in keeping dogs as pets has compelled us to draw public attention to the dangers which result from this, especially because pet dogs are hugged and kissed and permitted to lick the hands of the young and the old, and what is worse, to lick the plates and utensils which are used by human beings for eating and drinking.

Besides being unhygienic and uncouth, this practice is bad manners and abhorrent to good taste. However, we are not concerned with such matters. Leaving them to be addressed by teachers of etiquette and good taste. Rather this article is intended to present some scientific observations.

From the medical point of view, which is our main concern here, the hazards to human health and life from keeping and playing with dogs are not to be ignored. Many people have paid a high price for their ignorance, as the tapeworm carried by dogs is a cause of chronic disease, sometimes resulting in death.

This worm is found in man, in cattle, and in pigs, but it is found in fully-developed form only in dogs, wolves and rarely in cats. These worms differ from others in that they are minute and invisible, consequently, they were not discovered until very recently. He continues, biologically, the developmental process of this worm has some unique characteristics. In the lesions caused by them, one worm gives rise to many heads which spread and form other and varied kinds of lesions and abscesses. These heads develop into full-grown worms only in dogs' tonsils. In humans and in other animals they appear as lesions and abscesses completely different from the tapeworm itself.

In animals, the size of an abscess may reach that of an apple, while the liver of the infected animal may grow from five to ten times its normal size. In human beings, the size of the abscess may reach that of a clenched fist or even the head of an infant; it is filled with yellow fluid weighing from ten to twenty pounds.

In the infected human it may cause diverse kinds of inflammations in the lungs, muscles, spleen, kidneys, and brain, and appears in such different forms that specialists, until very recently, had difficulty in recognizing it.

In any case, wherever this inflammation is found, it poses great danger to the health and life of the patient. What is worse is that, in spite of our knowledge of its life history, origin, and development, we have not been able to devise a cure for it, except that in some instances these parasites die out, possibly because of antibodies produced in the human body. Unfortunately, cases in which such parasites die without causing damage are rare indeed.

Moreover, chemotherapy has failed to produce any benefit, and the usual treatment is surgical removal of the abscessed parts of the body. For all these reasons we should use all possible resources to fight against this dreadful disease and save man from its dangers'.

Subhanallah. Our Prophet Muhamad SAW had warned us about this a long long time before this scientific discovery and thus this proved 'Nor does he speak from (his own) desire. It is nothing other than a revelation sent down' (53:3-4).

Today mark my last day in the lab, Im done with all the lab work FINALLY. Its been three years since I registered for my post-graduate study. Frankly speaking, I never imagined myself at this stage. I thought I will quit sooner or later, been thinking about it on countless occasion. Thing is, I am touched by the positive comments and well wishes I've received from colleagues upon knowing I made it to the end of my lab work. See, there are still a lot of nice people out there.

Bought a camera yesterday for my mother. She specifically wanted one not more than RM400. So here is the pic taken during breakfast this morning:

So, back to the topic. I wish I can say this is straight from the camera but of course it isn't. I did some post-processing touch-up using a software that come together with this camera.

OK. Here comes the part I could really use your opinion.

The price for this camera is RM399. I got it for RM390. Plus RM10 for screen protector, the total cost is RM400. When I was about to purchase this camera, I asked the salesman again for the price. He said RM300 and so RM300 was all I gave him. I looked at Amal, and he just stared blankly (but knowingly. ahaha) back at me. I turn to the other side to my housemate, she too stared (and maybe winking. ahaha) back at me. Once I got the receipt and the good, off to basement we went.

To cut the story short, the salesman finally realized when we were about to leave Low Yat Plaza. He kept calling and texting me for that RM100 short. What do I do? FYI, I gave them my particulars (name, address, phone no and email address) on the warranty card. A copy for me and a copy left at the shop.

We went kayaking at Wetland Putrajaya! Woohoo! It was an awesome first time for both of us.

OK. Wanna share few tips I learned from the instructor (a very nice guy except for the part he kept calling me akak. Duhh) as well as from captain Amang Syaming :

1- Make sure you tighten your life jacket. Very important.

2- You and your partner have to paddle to the same side concurrently in order to move forward. However, when we paddled to the same side together, we kept turning slightly to our right. Captain Amang Syaming found that if we paddle to the opposite side, we moved straight.

3- If you want to go to the right, you have to paddle to your left and vice versa.

4- How to stop your kayak? Just place the paddle in the water to opposite side.

5- Bring extra cloth. You'll get wet, especially the person at the back (well, this will depends on type of kayak as well).

6- Do not panic!

7- Have fun and enjoy the view. Do not move rigorously or else the kayak will turn upside down and you are sure gonna have to swim. Haha.

About the rates, it is RM8 per kayak (for two person) an hour (weekday) and RM8 for half an hour during the weekend.

Just came back from Dewan Perdana Felda, a friend of mine held his wedding reception there.

This is my first time ever been to this dewan, AND my first time ever to formal wedding reception. With Tun M and wife as the distinguish guest, Tan Sri Musa Hitam (if not mistaken) and Senator Dato' Jamil Khir (among many others), you can imagine how formal it was.

Wanna know what was the thing I most fascinated about in the dewan? Its inside of the dome! It is beautiful! Now we had some idea on how to do our bedroom :p (planning memang terror lah kan?!)

The food was just fine. Main course : rendang daging, ayam, pajeri nenas Bombay, udang kertas (besar gile), isi ikan (sedap!) and dalca. Had tapai ice-cream for dessert and I gave Amal Syamil mine. Yes. I gave him mine despite knowing the fact that he is very prone to tapai high (remember this post?), but no worries. He is now safe and sound back in Klang :) Thank God, no kambing-like laugh for tonight.

To Najhi and Iffah, selamat pengantin baru. Semoga berkekalan ke ahir hayat! I wish you eyes full of joy and long and interesting life together!

The Malaysian Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. Its about time to get some result out of my research published.

7- Am about to wrap up my gene expression profiling part. Almost done with the optimization, going to run the real samples soon (next week soon coz I'm taking off on Friday and been thinking of Monday as well).

Friday, 13 May 2011.

My grandparents' house was caught on fire. Luckily nobody got hurt, just a minor burn on my Mak Ngah's hand who tried to put off the fire.

It is a big lost, for me at least. I hold on to so many memories of my late grandparents by just looking at the house. And now, it is gone.

Im in the middle of episode 18 Grey's Anatomy season 7 (if you really know me, I am so into Grey's Anatomy), but I just have to get it out of my mind and my chest.

My sister is getting married! To her ex-boyfriend!

Well, it may not be in 2011, the wedding I mean, it may be in 2012 the earliest. It sounded so serious. I got a hint about this thing from my youngest sister's facebook status she posted up.

Despite all due secrecy, I managed to korek from my mother about it. She said, my sister's ~~ex-~~boyfriend's family is planning to come to Bentong and meet our parents. Wohoo! That's one big move sister, shall I say.

And here I am, brooding, in Serdang, alone (please do not pity me, I am happy to have this house all to myself over the weekend) and been thinking, deep... It's a mix feeling.

I don't know what it is.

I should be happy for my sister, because she is happily in love again and what more is about to get married. At the same time, I am sad because I feel like losing her. She is soon to have her own family. She's been a good friend all these years, a good co-driver for the past three years to-and-fro Bentong-Serdang. A very good listener, a very good commentator, and companion.

Or is it just a mere petty jealousy? I. Don't. Know.

Don't get it wrong sisters (I know you both stalking my blog), I am indeed happy for you. OK?

Have a look at my previous post, the caption 'pengantin tak tahu tarikh' is referring to me. I meant it to myself. And now, after what I heard from my mother this afternoon, it seems for both of us and yes, my sister is a step ahead of me :)

Weekend project (kenduri kawin)

Bukan aku kawin btw.

Pak cik aku yang kawin. Phew. It was very tiring, to prepare 800 goodie bags. Sounds so easy eh, like Im one whining queen eh, but really it was a hard, laborious work! Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed the whole event. Started on Friday night, we folded all kotak bunga telur. Stopped at 11.30 p.m.

The next day, we prepared 800 goodie bags : two types of kerepek, bahulu and telur. Then, we had big lunch together with the whole family : ayam masak kicap, gulai jering (sedap woh!) and sayur kacang buncis dan hati.

To Paksu and Kak Liz (funny I address my uncle as paksu (paksu is just a year older than me, he is my dad's cousin actually) and his wife as kak. Well that is another story), I wish you both many many congratulations! Here, my favorite wedding well wishes I copied somewhere else:

Honestly, I do not remember when is our anniversary. I met Amal Syamil very long time ago, five or six years back. We were friends back then, and only started dating since maybe a year ago. Hehe. What a lousy girlfriend I am.

In our relationship, he is the one who remember this kind of things. If Im not mistaken, this anniversary on Facebook is when-we-first-met anniversary, not anniversary to mark our one year as a couple.

hi pretty people! :) hahah (tak ke gila tiba-tiba nak greet readers macam ni)

tak bersemangat nak bercerita. lagipun semua cerita crap saje. anyway, been to kampar recently to my housemate ataupun sekarang dah jadi my ex-housemate's wedding. i really love this ex-housemate of mine, kak mas, so her wedding is a must-attend-wedding (eh, boleh eh macam ni).

kak mas selalu cakap, rumah dia tak jauh pun. like 2 hours - 2 hours and half jek. so kami (macam biasa la, my sister, amal syamil and i) dengan rilex nye baru pegi breakfast at 1130 kat mamak bismillah belakang rumah. blame amal syamil bangun lambat. hahah! jadik my sister and i sambung le lagi tido for another hour sementara nak tunggu dia sampai dari klang.

dah la dah lambat, ada hati nak ikut kl (jln istana etc). udah le jam macam hareeem kat jln istana tu. err geram nye. padehal bole je ikut nkve, masuk ikut usj tu kan. tu dah another story dah. sampai la tersesat barat sampai ke selayang laa rawang laa. ape daaa! sumpah dah tak mau pegi selayang ke rawang ke.

nak dijadikan cerita, dah sampai rawang, baru la nak nampak signboard pegi ipoh etc kan. haishh! rasa nak ketuk diri sendiri. journey nak ke tapah tu pulak, masyaallah jauhnya.

tiba tiba teringat masa nak pegi interview kat UTP once upon a time dulu kan?

akhirnya, sampai la kitorang kat kenduri kak mas at 3pm. masa tu lapar tak payah cerita la.

TAPI, the best thing was that semua housemates pun ada masa tu. at 3pm, semua tetamu pun dah balik, yang tinggal kitorang je. one thing is, kat rumah serdang ni la i blaja banyak benda baru. macam mana nak associate dgn org yang lebih tua, yg different background semua. ye la selama ni kat hostel semua nya umur lebih kurang sama, background pun lebih kurang sama. muka yang sama jumpe kat fakulti, muka tu jugak kat hostel. jadi, semua pun ada masa tu, dah macam mini reunion pulak. it was fun to catch up with everyone. sedih pun ada, sebab masing masing pun dah ada haluan sendiri. mana yang dah ada anak, dah kawin, nak kawin, aku jugak yang tinggal lagi kat rumah serdang ni kan..

to cut the story short, on the way back tu ada pasar tani kat tepi jalan dah almost sampai ke bandar tapah. kitorang pun survey laa pasar tani tu and found banyak kuih-kuih yang tak pernah jumpa pun. contohnya:

1. kelamai

kelamai ni ada dua jenis, kelamai ubi dengan kelamai tepung. ubi punya rasa dia macam bingka ubi. both ubi and tepung sedap!

yang menarik nye, cara masak die masukkan dalam buluh macam lemang tu. makcik yang jual kelamai ni kasi kitorang rasa dulu, then die pun explain la. kelamai ubi ni memnag macam bingka, cuma kalau masak lama n hangit ke ape ke, kelamai ni tak kan rasa pahit.

kitorang pun beli laa and pakcik yang jual tu baik sangat bagi lebih kelamai tepung. haha. thanx pakcik!

2. lempeng pisang

kat pahang, yang biasa makan cekodok pisang tak pun lepat pisang. lepat ni, dikukus. tapi masa kat kampar, kitorang jumpe lempeng pisang. lempeng ni dibalut dalam daun pisang then dibakar. sedap! then, kat dalam lempeng tu, ada kelapa. pelik tak? pelik jugak laa mula mula nak makan, tapi belasah aje.

3. kuih dangai

sebenar nya, tak tau pun nama kuih ni. google then jumpe pun. kuih ni rasa die masin. tengah tu liat sikit, macam buat dari tepung beras kot, then kat luar tu disalut nyo. kuih ni sedap jugak tapi tak berapa nak faveret la sebab kuih masin macam pelik pulak. hahha. tapi overall sedap sebenar nye.

ok. sebab dah penat mentaip, kitorang meng-conclude kuih orang perak banyak guna nyo (alah. tak tau ke nyo tu ape? dialek perak yang maksud nye kelapa laa. pegi tanye usop wilcha).

anyhow, it was a fun journey. walaupun balik tu gaduh dgn pakcik bwk treler. malas nak layan.

to kak mas, terima kasih sbb selalu masak untuk i. heheh. bagi i pinjam tudung. hahah! bawak i n shahirah pegi arked tudung kat jalan tar. i love u kak mas, i sangat sad masa u balik nak kawin haritu, sebab macam hilang sorang kakak. ape2 pun, i wish u the best for the years to come. semoga u berbahagia sampai akhir hayat :)

kenapa kalau share the same date dengan miranda kerr? dengan harapan menjadi cantik macam dia? hahha. fine! gimik murah.

ahh. anyway.. birthday is just the same as any other days, except u get to hear birthday song and people are extra nice to u on your birthday. the rest? its just the same.

this year, my two lovely sisters brought me cupcakes (which they baked themselves!) and the three of us plus amal syamil went to seoul garden for lunch. a quiet celebration this year indeed.

im getting a year older and yet, i am more or less the same a year ago. im still in upm, struggling to finish my study. same old me.

dear friends.. i am at the moment losing the momentum to continue my study or to better myself. ive been thinking of quitting so many times i lost count and yet i didnt dare to do so. have u guys ever feel the same? what do u do to overcome the feeling?

or maybe its been too long. even a joke, if too long, will turn sour.. yes?

its been crazy these past few weeks. gone my beauty sleep regime and hello to haywire bedtime. tho sometimes i was really tired, i just cant sleep because my mind, of all the time, became so active thinking of what to do next with my research, where should i picture myself in five years time, is it really going to be fruitful to wait for a while here in upm or should i just jump to the real world. haishh.

i have to admit, peer pressure is really taking its toll on me. while people are busy with wedding prep, some even busy welcoming motherhood, with noticeably frequent status update via android, via iphone and via blackberry, some is waiting for viva, completed first draft thesis and a few even waiting for confirmation letter to pursue phd in UK, i, on the other hand, have to think of part time job, how to pay my tuition fee (rm1350) for the upcoming semester, have to think where can i find some money to replace my worn out handbag etc.

not that i am not thankful for all the things i have, i do, i really do, but.... ahh. u guys got it. kan?

so, what i did to ameliorate (am not sure this is the correct word to put) this condition, i went to see amal syamil. which usually ended up with us makan-makan. he is now 92 kg, and i am 76 kg (i stopped weighing myself for some time already, and hence i might be heavier). this in turn, i mean being 16 kg overweight, kinda put pressure on me as i feel ugly and not attractive. i even get less and less flirtatious glance nowadays.

ok. i should stop complaining.

on a different note, here is my all time favourite book. ive read this like 5 or 6 times already. totally in love with the story. this is the second book i read from the same author.

hmm. study wise...i think im doing ok. tho its really slow in the progress. so lets have a look:

Nanny 911

I am soon to be 25 (yawn) and what I can say my biological clock is ticking since I cant remember when. Amal Syamil and I are both very keen with babies, but spare me the crying one please.. Haha. Il definitely hand the baby back to the mother in that case.

My sister told me about this series, Nanny 911 on Youtube. She even advised me to not have that many children (one day, insyaallah). Well, upon watching these vids, Im having second and third thoughts on having baby let alone babies. Ouchh.

These kids are so horrible to their mother. Heyy, I am not the one to judge, but I am speechless seeing how they treated their mother. The father, err, what can I say is that he is rather selfish and not much of help when it come to the kids. Pheww. What he did was placed a call to Nanny 911. These nannies then will decide which one among them is the best to help the family. A nanny will come to their house and observe for a week, plus to teach the children as well as the parents to better themselves.

What really touched my heart was when the nanny told the elder twin sisters that they were the first born in the house. Then, one of the twin told the nanny:

'Actually, we were adopted'

The nanny then said 'You were the first one were born here. You were the first were born in the house no matter where it came from'.

I found it very disturbing for a kid of 6 or 7 years of age to already know about them being adopted. Sigh. I pity that girl. (Oh. Dont get me wrong. Not that the mother does not love the adopted kids, its just me, you know..) Nevertheless, after a week, the kids did improved. They no longer yelled or whined, they talked and asked for permission to share toys whatsoever.

The key here is communication people! Communication.

Baru terbaca artikel ni kat FB tadi. Woohoo. Sedih nye! I seriously don't know what my mother had lied to me before but one...whenever I called my mother and I asked "mak dah tido?" or "mak tengah tido ke?" she never NEVER admitted she was asleep. Tho from the voice I knew she was indeed asleep.

Let's be frank. I am so shy to call my mother and tell her I love her. My upbringing and my 2 sisters' as well, not that I blame it on our parents, we are not used to show our affection towards each other. Hugs/kisses/'I love u' are not our stuff. We just know we love each other deeply.

In case my mother read this...dengan penuh rendah diri dan rasa kasih sayang yang amat banyak...

..after an intense 30 mins workout is just one among many signs that I am badly out of shape. Its been quite sometime since I mistreated my own body.

Hmm.

I am currently 16 kg overweight. At 161 cm, my ideal weight is 60 kg. The last time I weigh my ideal weight (not that ideal actually, 63 to be exact) was when I was 17, eight years ago. Eight bloody years huh?!

Today marks my first day of Jillian Michaels 30 Days Shred in an ~~serious~~ attempt to shed that 16 kg. Who's with me?
